I was really delighted to hear from The Poppy Shop about the excellent fundraising they are doing this Christmas for the Royal British Legion. They have done a beautifully thick and warm Christmas jumper that is simply adorable with a polar bear festooned in a scarf smattered with poppies. I’ve not done any photos of myself for the blog in ages but I couldn’t resist how great this jumper looks with a bright red lip! I wore it to Sunday lunch last week with a friend Coreen visiting from Canada. She was here for Armistice Day and brought the medals owned by her late grandfather James Douglas who served in the Navy during WW1.
Here she is with her brother James and the medals. Needless to say, the sweater has gone home with her where I’m sure it will delight the Canadian veterans who see it. What a lovely way to give this Christmas and to keep the spirit of the holidays alive for those who bravely fought for our freedom.
