On Wednesday I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of a new product line by skincare brand Korres at John Bell and Croyden in Marylebone, which is the world’s chicest pharmacy. It is so stylish and elegant that it bears the Royal Warrant on the doors. If it’s good enough for the Queen… Well, then I wanted to wear something really special for the occasion so I decided it was time to test drive my Homecoming Shop nightshirt as a shirtdress for day time. Homecoming’s tagline is “made to be seen” and these PJ’s are so worthy of a little spotlight.
If lingerie can be outerwear why not PJ’s? I mean, really.
The brushed cotton that Homecoming’s pieces are made of is thick, luxurious and as soft as satin. It is trimmed beautifully in the best quality silk velvet ribbon in a chic contrasting shade. I paired it with a pair of high waisted stretch skinny jeans because I am a child of the 90’s and I’ll never really be over dresses paired with jeans. I topped off the look with my cosy WoolOvers scarf, my Vero Moda biker jacket and my new Anne Weyburn suede sandals from La Redoute (my latest online shopping obsession). I felt stylish and confident all day and MAN I WAS SO FLIPPING COMFORTABLE! This fashion experiment was a real success as far as I’m concerned. I mean, as a work-at-home mum I’ve been practically living in this nightshirt since I got it in December but this was the first time I’ve tried it as an a part of an outfit. I’m hooked! This style is currently on sale too! Get yours here.
