I had the pleasure of welcoming the lovely Danielle Meder of DrawingTarot.com into my home over the weekend and she graciously bestowed upon me a 3 card Drawing Tarot reading. I’ve known Danielle a long time through my day job working in fashion as she is a well known and incredibly talented fashion illustrator and journalist (you can check out her blog here) although never quite so intimately as our conversation during my tarot reading, which picked up on many themes present in my life now. The cards I drew reflected this time of great upheaval and reckoning within myself. For the last year I have been processing a lot of old trauma, speaking out against the childhood sexual abuse I suffered and realising just how I ended up as an adult with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I’ve spent a long time in a kind of stillness while I re-evaluated and examined my career, my creativity and my commitment to my children. I’ve been becoming someone new and someone profoundly familiar to myself at the same time and the process has been disorienting and uncomfortable. The reading and conversation I had with Danielle brought so many things into focus for me and brought me a great sense of relief. I’ve been searching so hard for answers that I missed the signs right in front of me that I’m already on the path meant to be. Then she drew my portrait.
I’d really encourage anyone who loves fashion and has an interest in the metaphysical to reach out and get a reading done. She is brilliant!
