Facial Oils:
Going into the Autumn season my face always protests, badly. I’ve recently discovered Pure Potions, a brand of gentle, nourishing, natural products that are eczema-friendly. I’m getting my inner glow and moisture balance sorted using the Skin Salvation Omega Rich Cleansing Oil and Intensive Facial Oil.
Bath and Body
If you’re a regular reader you know I’m a big fan of natural Greek apothecary brand Korres. My current obsession is the absloutely heavenly and sophisticated scent of the Jasmine Bergamot Shower Gel and Body Milk.
For my baths I’m adding a half cup of bathing salts and 2 tbs of Pure Potions Skin Salvation Body Oil and adding a few drops of peppermint oil and lavender oil. If I’m able to spend some time in the tub I’ll also pop on one of Gabby Bernstein’s excellent guided meditations.
The War on Dry Skin
After my bath I’m slathering myself in the ultra rich new Dermexa Emollient Cream by Aveeno, which so far has stopped the dry itchy and scaly eczema patches I’ve come to dread at this time of year. I’m also massaging Pure Potions Scar Oil with Rosehip and Calendula onto my breasts and tummy as they continue to change shape post-baby (yes even almost 3 years later!).
I’m also trialling the Dermexa Goodnight Emollient for Babies on Violet and Wilde after bathtime and they both seem to be getting on great with it with almost no irritation or eczema patches compared to this time last year.
OK! So that’s it, that’s my current self care/skin care routine. Remember people: You can’t help others if you’re pouring from an empty cup so don’t feel bad about treating yourself! Everything I’ve included here is available online and from top chemists and department stores and nothing is over £30.
